PROGRAM MANAGER:

DESIRE Society is seeking a Program Manager to work at district level to implement the programs of DESIRE Society. The Program Manage should be a self starter with an entrepreneurial bent of mind to lead projects successfully. The Program Manager will report to the CEO of DESIRE Society directly and will be completely in-charge of planning, execution and coordination of DESIRE’s operational plan. The Program Manager should be able to converse, read and write in Telugu. And should be able to document in English. The Program Manager would also involve in envisioning the programme along with the team, give inputs to the CEO to make critical decisions and taking up the latest happenings and challenges. The Program Manager will have to be well versed with Monitoring and Evaluation of the program and management of data (MIS)

The Program Manager should be energetic and sensitive to work with the existing Program team in keeping with their socio-economic background and skills; to take people along with an openness to receive and give honest feedback within the team; an openness to work in flexible conditions in terms of flexible work weeks, operational structure and people we deal with; a belief that every individual has potential to contribute to any learning process.

Position and Key Responsibility Areas

• Program - Ensure smooth implementation of operations plan, meeting of timelines, planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of everyday activities, Taking feedback from the beneficiaries.
• Outcomes – The outcomes of the programs are given high preference.
• Documentation: Data analysis, report writing. Submitting all the relevant documents to chief program coordinator – Program plan, monthly report etc.
• Out Reach – Coordinating the existing nutrition camps in the district and modifying implementations timely as required  .
• Attendance of staff meetings and participate in staff functions.
• In charge of organizing the staff development training programs.
• Partnerships with stakeholders: Maintaining partnerships with fellow organizations and explore training opportunities for grassroots organizations. Maintain relationships with resource people and other organizations..

Key Candidates Requirement:

• The Program Managers should have a strong knowledge of educational system and have program and people management skills
• Strong leadership, documentation, programme planning skills. Strong writing and speaking skills in English and Telugu
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). Knowledge and experience of working on Monitoring and Evaluation and data management.
• Availability to work in evenings and weekends
• Preferred:
• An MSW/Masters in Social Sciences and keenness to engage in reading and keeping oneself updated on current socio-economic and political conditions
• A commitment of at least three years with DESIRE Society
